Helps to prevent prostate cancer
Formulated for cancer patients at the Oasis of Hope Hospital by Dr.

NutraProst
promotes normal urine flow and prostate health. The prostate is a
doughnut-shaped male sex gland, positioned beneath the urinary bladder. It
encircles the urinary outlet or urethra. The prostate gland manufactures and
stores much of the seminal fluid, the transport medium for sperm during
ejaculation. By the age of fifty about 40 percent of all men will start to
experience difficulties with urination related to gradual enlargement of the
prostate gland or benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH). The development of BPH
is largely attributed to hormonal changes associated with aging. The
prostate is the most common site of disorder in the male genitourinary
system. By the time men reach their early 50's almost all of them have
experienced some prostate problems.
As a person ages the conversion of
testosterone to its more active form of dihydrotestosterone becomes higher
and this results in a growth of the prostate gland, which ultimately leads
to the obstruction of the urethra. As a consequence, the frequency of the
urination increases, either in the daytime or at night.
In addition, a reduction in the force and
caliber of urination is also characteristic of prostatic enlargement. Men
sometimes suffer from "dribbling" or a feeling that they have not fully
emptied their bladders by urine retention (residual urine).
NutraProst contains herbs which
reduce BPH. Those herbs are saw palmetto extract, pygeum africanum extract,
urtica dioica and zinc. Scientific research has shown that saw palmetto
dramatically reduces the size of the enlarged prostate (benign prostatic
hyperplasia - BPH) and restores function by inhibiting the conversion of
testosterone to dihydrotestosterone. (Which is a hormone that contributes to
enlargement of the prostate.) Pygeum aids in reducing inflammation, and the
swelling due to water accumulation in the prostate. It also reduces
cholesterol levels in the prostate. Uritica dioica root is used for
symptomatic relief of urinary difficulties associated with early stages of
BPH. It also acts as a mild diuretic and pain reliever. Supplementation with
zinc has been recommended for both the prevention and treatment of BPH.
